What is Shiitake Extract?
Shiitake/Lentinus edodes extract is one of the best known medicinal mushrooms. Shiitake mushrooms (Lentinus edodes) have been used in Japan and China for thousands of years. It is known both as a food and as a herbal fungus.
Shiitake Extract Powder is the granules obtained from harvested and fresh naturally-dried mushroom fruiting bodies, which are then broken and ground, and then further double extracted with hot water and alcohol. After extraction, the mushroom residue was separated, and the extract was membrane-separated, concentrated, and spray-dried to obtain a finely extracted powder. Qualified products are packaged after crushing, screening and metal detection.
